Facial care is something I have gotten into a lot lately especially DIYs. I love the natural ingredients blended together, I prefer them to some chemical filled products out there. I love DIYs, sometimes I am amazed by the work some products do to our faces, they are so unexpected for example garlic, who knew that despite it’s crazily strong smell, it could cure acne. Organic products are more helpful but be sure to test them all on a part of your skin before applying all over to make sure you don’t react or are allergic to the ingredients. You don’t want to cure acne but end up with a puffy, red face. Since no one wants to have to deal with acnes, dark circles, white or black ends, here are a few DIYs to clear your face.
Time: Once or twice a day
Crush Garlic and apply on face. Also swallowing 1-2 flakes of garlic regularly helps to cure acne.
Time: Overnight, Three times a week
Apply peeled and grated potatoes overnight at least three times a week to remove dark circles.
Time: 10 minutes
For softer face, mash a banana and apply to face, wash off with lukewarm water.
Time: 20 minutes.
Mix the ingredients above together, apply on face and wash off to remove blackheads.
Ingredients: Baking Soda
Mix 3 tablespoon of baking soda with 1 tablespoon of water and apply to face.
Ingredient: Cranberry Sauce
Mix 1 tablespoon of cranberry sauce with 2 tablespoon of petroleum jelly.
Regular massage and skin slapping (sounds very weird, it means to literally slap yourself) reduces puffiness on face.
Ingredients: Lemon Juice
Dilute some lemon juice with water and dab on pimples to kill germs, cool inflammation and improve blood circulation.
Blocked pores are caused various things like dust or makeup and eventually lead to breakouts. Steam face once a week to open blocked pores. Add basil for extra advantage.
PREVENTION OF BLACKHEADS AND PIMPLES:
Ingredients: Radish Seeds
This is for those who do not have blackheads and pimples or who have recently cleared theirs and want to prevent future breakouts. Make a paste of grounded radish seeds with water and apply to face to prevent blackheads and pimples.
Make exfoliating paste using tea and powdered milk. Gently rub on skin, let it dry and carefully scrub off before washing.
Give these a try and I hope they work for you. There would be more DIYs in future posts.
